Enjoy the fresh air of Cape Town's green belt with all the city's attractions in easy reach. Clovelly Lodge is a 4-star owner-managed guest house on Cape Town's False Bay coastline. Our one bedroom self-catering apartments are fully self-contained and accommodate up to 4 people. The building is just 5 minutes walk from one of Cape Town's safest swimming beaches and borders onto wetland nature reserve rich with bird-life.
Clovelly Lodge Guest Apartments offer privacy and independence in a managed environment just 5 minutes walk from the beach. Guests control access to the fully enclosed grounds which provide a safe, peaceful environment. Apartments have partial sea views and each unit has its own private deck with patio furniture for braai's (barbecues), eating al fresco, sipping sundowners or just lounging around in the sunshine.
The apartments have fully equipped, open plan kitchenettes, satellite TV and DVD or VCR (there are plenty of rental outlets nearby for movies) and an independent alarm. The bedroom in one unit has twin beds which can convert to a 'euroking', while the other apartment has a queen bedroom. There is plenty of secure parking and easy access to a laundry and communal pool. Apartments are fully serviced twice weekly (daily on request) and all linen and towels are provided except pool towels.
Local Area DetailsLocated in the heart of the Table Mountain National Park alongside the warm waters and the whales of False Bay, Clovelly Lodge is an ideal base for exploring Cape Town and its environs.
The Winelands, Cape Point, V&A Waterfront, Robben Island, Boulders african penguin colony Chapman’s Peak, Simon’s Town, Kirstenbosh Botanical Gardens, Constantia and the famous restaurants and bars of trendy Kalk Bay fishing village are all just a short drive. Nearby beaches of white sand and calm tidal pools offer some of Cape Town’s safest swimming.
The Clovelly Country Club's 18 hole championship golf course is a 10 minute walk and Westlake and Steenberg course are a short drive. The beach is a quick 5 minute walk and is a good spot for swimming, water sports, whale-watching (from July usually) or enjoying a pleasant walk around the bay in sight of the Hottentots-Holland mountain range.
The city centre is a 20-30 minute drive and the airport is around 30-40 minutes.
